SheLeaf's Origin Story
How did SheLeaf come about you ask?
I am ashamed to admit it but it came about out of jealousy. I wanted what my husband has in abundance, positive energy!
I discovered the power of botanical wellness in the midst of one of my family's toughest chapters. My husband was fighting cancer while juggling a demanding startup, and we had a one-year-old at home. It was chaos, to put it mildly. Some friends in the botanical industry introduced us to Kratom, and I watched in amazement as it helped my husband stay on his feet post surgery, through chemo treatments, meetings, and endless commitments.
Fast forward a couple years, and I found myself having one of those mom moments. You know the ones - where you're completely drained, running on fumes, and wondering how everyone else seems to be handling life so much better? I remember looking at my husband, who was somehow still energetic and patient with our toddler after long workdays, and finally snapping: 'How are you doing this while I feel like a zombie?' His answer stopped me in my tracks - it was the Kratom he'd continued taking long after recovery.
That was my lightbulb moment. If this botanical could help my husband show up as his best self for our family, what could it do for me and other women running on empty? Because let's be honest - we're all feeling it. The constant drain on our energy, the struggle to unwind at night, the pressure to keep going even when our tanks are empty.
I teamed up with our friends at Etha Botanicals to create something specifically for us - women who need real support through our daily rhythms. Together, we developed Rise and Rest, two formulas that work exactly how we need them to. Rise gives you that sustainable morning energy boost, while Rest helps you actually unwind and recharge at night because we all know when you finally get a moment to unwind you want to actually be able to relax.
That's how SheLeaf was born. It's more than just a brand to me - it's a solution I wished I'd had during those zombie mom days. Because when we have the right support to energize and truly rest, we can show up as our best selves - for our families and ourselves.
